COULTER VIDEO

Coulter Video is a production company specializing in educational videos.  Dan Coulter has more than 20 years experience in video production and public relations. Julie Coulter has an extensive background serving as an advocate for people with special needs, including forming and serving as chairperson of two parent special needs advocacy groups at the elementary school and high school levels.

We produced our first special needs videos after our son, Drew, was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome (AS), a neurobiological disorder on the high functioning end of the Autism spectrum. Drew attended mainstream school classrooms from the time he was in elementary school. He's benefited from numerous outside programs, including social skills training and drama workshops. Drew graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in 2006.

Using the best of the information we gathered to help Drew succeed, we produced two videos on Asperger Syndrome -- while Dan was still working full time in corporate public relations.  Based on the success of these videos -- and a love of this work -- we decided to devote full time to our video production business.  In the summer of 2003, after our daughter, Jessie, graduated from high school, Dan left his corporate career and we moved to Winston-Salem, N.C. to begin production on a number of new special needs videos.
